8 best real-time AI face swap tools in 2026
Eight live face swap tools compared on platform, GPU needs and pricing model, from browser clouds to local apps and one open-source project.
A real-time AI face swap tool replaces the face in your live camera feed with the identity from a reference image, fast enough that you can keep talking and moving while it works. The eight tools below do that today. Each entry was checked against the tool's own public pages on 7 November 2026 for platform, hardware needs and how it charges.
The right tool depends on the job here: a browser effect, a local app with a virtual camera and an open-source project solve different problems. LiveFaceSwap.co is our product and is listed first; the other seven are independent and unaffiliated with us.
How we compared them
- It has to work on a live camera. Tools that only swap uploaded photos or videos are out of scope, because they are a different category with different expectations.
- The facts have to be public. Platform support, hardware guidance and pricing model come from each vendor's own site or repository, not from review roundups. Where a vendor does not publish a price, this article says so instead of guessing.
- It has to be usable now. No waitlists or demo reels without a working build.
1. LiveFaceSwap.co (our product)
LiveFaceSwap.co runs Face Swap, Restyle and Try-On over your webcam from a cloud session in a browser tab, on LiveFaceSwap V1. Nothing is installed and there is no GPU on your side: the browser captures frames and plays back the generated video.
Live time costs 0.6 credits per live second, so a 1,000-credit pack ($10) buys about 28 minutes. The 4,000-credit pack is $59 and the 10,000-credit pack is $119; packs never expire. Quarterly subscriptions start at Basic $10/month (650 credits), Pro $19/month (2,500) and Max $46/month (7,500). A session is capped at 900 seconds, the unused reservation is returned when you stop, the camera stream is not recorded, and new accounts get 10 free credits.
The desktop app and virtual camera are marked coming soon, so today you capture the browser output with OBS or a screen share. Best for: trying a live swap in a browser within minutes and paying only for the seconds you use.
2. LiveFaceSwap AI
LiveFaceSwap AI (livefaceswap.ai) is a separate product with a similar name and no affiliation to us. It offers a browser workspace plus a desktop app for Windows 10/11, Apple Silicon macOS and Linux that installs a virtual camera device you pick in OBS, Zoom, Teams or Meet. Processing is in the cloud, the site states no GPU is required, and billing is through monthly or quarterly subscriptions with credit allowances plus one-time credit packs; credits are consumed per live second of the selected model. Best for: people who need the live output as a camera device in another app today and are willing to install an app.
3. Livesync
Livesync (live-sync.io) runs real-time face swap in the cloud with no installation and works with OBS, Zoom, YouTube and similar tools. Pricing is subscription-based and measured in streaming minutes: one credit equals one minute, and plans run from a free tier with 10 credits at 480p through Starter at $9/month (30 credits), Creator at $25/month (90 credits), Pro at $130/month (500 credits) and business tiers up to $2,200/month. Recording and broadcasting limits differ by plan, and paid tiers add a priority queue and remove the watermark. Best for: creators who want a managed cloud workflow with recording, a monthly budget and explicit per-plan limits.
4. Facecam
Facecam (facecam.ai) is a browser-based toolkit whose live face swap is aimed at calls and streams in Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, Discord and OBS, with a Chrome extension and a desktop app for camera-only apps. There is a free tier and paid plans; plan names and prices change, so check the vendor's pricing page for the current tiers and any discount before you buy. Best for: adding a live swap to video calls and browser-based shows without a heavy local setup.
5. Delulu
Delulu (delulu.cam) puts a character of your choice on your camera feed in real time: upload an image or build an avatar in its studio, run it as a web or desktop app, and choose its virtual camera in Zoom, Meet, Teams, Discord, OBS or Streamlabs. The free tier caps each transformation at 60 seconds; paid Plus, Pro and Max plans remove the cap and include monthly hours. Delulu Stream adds a streamer mode where chat triggers transformations through commands or a Twitch extension on Twitch, Kick, YouTube and TikTok, optionally tied to paid viewer actions on the platform. Best for: streamers who want the audience to drive the character.
6. Swapface
Swapface (swapface.org) is a Windows and Apple-silicon macOS app that runs on your own machine rather than in the cloud. It covers real-time live face swap plus photo and video swaps, and its published requirements list a 6GB+ NVIDIA card (RTX 2060 or 3060) and 16GB of RAM as the baseline. It is free to start, and the pricing page describes pay-as-you-go credits or a subscription. Best for: creators with a capable GPU who want local processing and also need photo and video swaps.
7. Magicam
Magicam (magicam.ai) is a desktop app that combines real-time face swap with a voice changer, aimed at streams, calls and video recording. It processes locally, recommends a dedicated GPU, and sells a Pro licence; check the vendor's pricing page for current prices. The free version covers basic swapping with a virtual camera, and Pro adds higher-resolution output, a better face model, voice tools and no watermark — the exact split changes, so confirm it on the vendor page. Best for: desktop users who want face and voice changed together in one local tool.
8. Deep-Live-Cam
Deep-Live-Cam (hacksider/Deep-Live-Cam on GitHub) is a free, open-source Python program for live webcam face swapping, with an offline mode for images and video that needs only one reference photo. Installation is manual — Python, pip, ffmpeg and about 300MB of model files — and it runs on CPU, though a supported GPU provider (CUDA, CoreML, DirectML or OpenVINO) is what makes the live mode feel live; OBS captures the preview window. The project includes checks against inappropriate media, asks users to get consent and label output, and notes that some bundled InsightFace models are licensed for non-commercial research. DeepLiveCam.net sells prebuilt Quickstart builds of the same project by subscription (the Nvidia edition is listed at $22/month or $40 for three months) for people who do not want to install Python. Best for: tinkerers who want open source, local processing and no per-second billing.

Which one fits you
- You want to try a live swap right now, on any laptop, without installing anything: LiveFaceSwap.co. The 10 free credits are enough to see whether the effect works for you.
- You need the swap inside Zoom, Teams or OBS as a camera device today: LiveFaceSwap AI's desktop app or Delulu's virtual camera. Ours does not ship a virtual camera yet.
- You want processing to stay on your own machine and own a gaming GPU: Swapface or Magicam, or Deep-Live-Cam if you are comfortable with Python.
- You want open source and do not mind set-up work: Deep-Live-Cam, or DeepLiveCam.net's prebuilt builds if Python is a blocker.
- You stream and want chat to trigger transformations: Delulu Stream.
- You want a fixed monthly budget for cloud minutes: Livesync.
What to check before you pay
- Where the video goes. A cloud tool sends camera frames to a remote model; a local tool keeps them on the machine. Decide which trade-off you want.
- Cost and renewal. Compare per-second and per-minute rates at the duration you actually use, and read the renewal terms before subscribing.
- Virtual camera or window capture. Only some tools install a system camera; others need OBS or screen capture.
- Rights and disclosure. Every tool on this list can produce convincing video. Use faces you are allowed to use, follow the 18+ rules, and label AI-altered video when anyone could mistake it for real footage.
